We tend to assume that a good meditator, never gets disturbed by thoughts. But actually one of the life-changing recognitions happens when you realize that meditation can go on even when there are thoughts in the mind. Thoughts are a problem when you don’t understand what they are and how to deal with them. The mind does not respond well to harshness. So when we try to suppress thoughts or stamp them out, the mind reacts rebelliously.

The practice of dealing with thoughts involves equal parts of rigor and subtlety, practice and understanding.

This class will be devoted to spotting our mental and emotional tendencies, residues of habitual thoughts and feelings, and learn how to release them into the inner field.
